[CFP] Corpus-Informed Studies: Methodologies and Applications 2024

The first Corpus-Informed Studies: Methodologies and Applications (CISMA) conference will be organised and hosted by the journal Corpus-based Studies across Humanities and the Institute of Corpus Studies and Applications, Shanghai International Studies University, China.

The conference will take place on 16 November 2024.

The conference aims to bring together researchers, scholars, and practitioners from diverse disciplines to explore the intersection of corpora, humanities, language, culture, and technology.

Theme of the CISMA 2024:

Corpora in Humanities: Exploring Language, Literature, and Technology 

The topics of the CISMA 2024 Conference include but are not limited to:

  1. Advances in corpus linguistics methodology, tools, and techniques.
  2. Analysis of linguistic and cultural phenomena using corpora.
  3. Integration of corpora in digital humanities research and applications.
  4. Incorporating machine learning and AI techniques in corpus analysis.
  5. Collaborations between humanities and computational disciplines using corpora.
  6. Sentiment Analysis and Corpus Linguistics 
  7. Corpora in Humanities 

Submission Guidelines:

We invite submissions of original research papers, case studies, and abstracts related to the conference theme and topics. Submissions should adhere to the following guidelines:

Abstracts: 250-300 words

Language: English

Format: APA style
