[Job Vacancy] Associate Professor in Translation Studies
The Department of English Language and Literature at the College of Arts and Social Sciences, Sultan Qaboos University, Oman announces the following three translation positions:
- Associate Professor in Translation Studies – English/Arabic with a focus on translation technology/interpreting
Duties
- Teaching relevant courses at the undergraduate and postgraduate levels
- Research and academic supervision
- Community service
Requirements:
- PhD in Translation Studies from a recognized university
- Focus: Translation Technology /Interpreting Studies
- PhD study program should be full-time. Part-time, online, or blended study programs are not accepted
- Minimum 5 years of teaching experience in the broader area of Translation Studies and the specialized areas of Translation Technology and Interpreting Studies
- Excellent record of published research in peer reviewed journals
- Experience in teaching/supervision in postgraduate studies
- Excellent skills in using technology in teaching
- Fluency in both English and Arabic (oral and written)
