Teaching Associate in Translation Studies

The School of Languages and Social Sciences is an ambitious, expanding, multidisciplinary School with an established reputation for excellence in teaching and research.

The Languages and Translation Studies subject group is seeking to make on appointment for a Teaching Associate in Translation Studies with French for a fixed-term position between 15 September 2018 and 15 June 2019 (10 months). Strong candidates from Translation Studies, especially those with teaching experience in theory modules and a near-native competence in French, are encouraged to apply.

You should have a completed a PG Programme in Translation Studies, have experience of teaching in Translation Studies at undergraduate and postgraduate levels, and be able to contribute to the development of the teaching portfolio within Translation Studies. Experience in teaching translation theory is particularly important. The new appointment will also be expected to contribute to the leadership of our undergraduate and postgraduate programmes in Translation Studies.
