Helen Campbell will lead a workshop in York (UK) for professional interpreters who want to improve their consecutive interpreting skills.

This 2.5 day course targets professional conference interpreters who are comfortable with long consecutive (eg. +/- 5 mins) but want to work on their note-taking, confidence, presentation skills and consecutive from difficult speeches. Helen will share a variety of strategies to help make you feel more at ease with your next consecutive assignment.

The course is designed both as a follow-up to previous AIIC consecutive refreshers AND as a stand-alone course for interpreters at the appropriate level.

Trainer

Helen Campbell was a staff member of the Directorate-General for Interpretation of the European Commission (DG SCIC) in Brussels from 1973 until April 2011. A highly qualified and experienced interpreter trainer, she has aptitude-tested, taught, and acted as examiner at university and EU exams and regularly giving courses for AIIC.

This workshop will be held in English.
